Material Source
The artisan primarily uses clays of Spanish origin, sourced from the regions of Tarragona and Alicante. The glass used for the surface glaze is sourced from recycled glass from cider, beer, wine and mead bottles.
Technique
Crafted using modelling techniques and fired at high temperature. The crushed glass disperses over the modelled surface of the piece and is fired into the ceramic, becoming gel-like during firing. Upon cooling over the subsequent hours, it presents a visible crackled finish.
