Conecept

Although ‘Oigh Niseach’ was not built by Mark Stockl, he has completed extensive repair work on her, on behalf of ‘Falmadair – North Lewis Maritime Society.’ This chairty now has four, traditional, sea-worthy sgoths, of different sizes. All of these can be used by the community for leisure sailing and are very often used as a central focus for artist residencies and cultural gatherings, linking the traditional story telling maritime tales and gaelic language to contemporary art projects.
