<item_type_metadata:technique>Tor-Vegard forges the metall pieces in a coal forge. He and welds together the pieces, in our case the wings, and the body. The raw form of the bird figure was polished to get a smooth and shiny surface. and glued onto the choosen stone with epoxy glue. </item_type_metadata:technique>
<item_type_metadata:material source>The metal comes from a distributor in Harstad. Tor-Vegard collects the stoes himself from Finnmark. </item_type_metadata:material source>
<item_type_metadata:conecept>The object is closely related to the local identity and Lofoten itself. The cormorant sculptures from Sund are emblematic souvenirs, that recall the Lofoten islands. Decades of work built the reputation of the Blacksmith in Sund, and many of the local families also prouldy display his works in their homes. </item_type_metadata:conecept>
<item_type_metadata:production quality>The great corminrant, or as it is called, the "Kongeskarven", the king cormorant is Tor-Vegards signature product, that is sold in the workshop and from the webshop. Each piece is unique, the scale varies, but he always has to have a base stock. </item_type_metadata:production quality>
