Technique

The clay is kneaded and centered and trown on a electrical potter's wheel. The vase is lifted from the wheel and left to dry until leather hard before it's engobed. When that's dried, the pattern is scraped and then it is bisque fired up to 950 degrees, glazed, dried under the feet and then fired to about 1100 degrees.. När engoven torkat till litegrann skrapas mönstret fram- The vase is not glazed at the edge and is burnt upside down to get an enclosed, fully glazed foundation.
