Technique
Tor-Vegard forges the metall pieces in a coal forge, then welds the pieces together. The practitioner finishes the object with treating and brushing the surface.
Function
The object has decorative and estetic functions.
Creation Purpose
The object was created for sale, and stands on exhibition in the workshop, until visitors buys it.
Production Quality
Small scale of production. That product is not the main focus of Tor-Vegards profile. The human sculptures are his design, and he enjoys creating them. He often gets direct orders on them from visiting tourists.
Conecept
The practitioner is inspired by people around him, and their posture and manners influence his artwork. Many of the human-figures resemble local figures. In the workshop, visitors can observe the manufacturing. Tor-Vegard creates an atmosphere while working, by building connection and entertaining the visitors. That model of experience based visit also creates a will to buy.
